How do I set my investment criteria, and what impact does it have?

Updated over 9 months ago

💡 Your investment focus is crucial for matching you with the relevant startups.

The more accurately your criteria reflect your focus, the better Vai will connect you with suitable Startups.

Navigate on to Vai’s “My Investment Focus” section to set your investment focus. Here, you can customize the following elements:

  • Geographical Focus: Decide whether your focus is global or concentrated on specific regions, such as Western Europe, EMEA, or individual countries.

  • Industry Sectors: Choose from broad categories like “Sustainability & Impact” or “Health,” or narrow it down to specific sectors. Be cautious, as overly narrowing your sectors might cause you to overlook potential matches.

  • Stages and Ticket Size: Indicate your interest in Startups at various stages, including pre-seed, seed, Series A, B, or C (you can select multiple stages). If the default ticket size doesn’t align with your strategy, feel free to set it manually.

  • Revenue Stage Preferences: Specify whether you want to invest in pre-revenue, post-revenue Startups, or both.

  • Type of Product: Clarify if your focus is on software, hardware Startups, or other types of companies, such as services or research.
